On 22 April 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited to participate in the Hari Raya Open House hosted by Malaysia-Thailand Joint Authority (MTJA) at the MTJA Office, Kuala Lumpur. Ambassador Lada met with Thai and Malaysian board members of the MTJA. On this occasion, she also met with YBhg. Datuk Seri Saiful Anuar Bin Lebai Hussen, Malaysian Co-chairperson and H.E. Dr. Norkun Sitthiphong, Thai Co-chairperson. The Open House was in great ambience, strengthening Thailand-Malaysia relations.

 

The MTJA was established in 1979 to resolve the area of overlapping continental shelf in Thailand and Malaysia’s Joint Development Area (JDA) in the Gulf of Thailand. It oversees the exploration and production of petroleum in the JDA.
