The Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur offers a limited range of documentary services as follows:

 

1. Document legalization

 

1.1 Thai documents to be used in Malaysia

What to bring to the Embassy

1) Original copy of the Thai document and its photocopy

2) English translation of the Thai document certified by the translator

 

Before visiting the Embassy, the above-mentioned documents must first be attested by the Department of Consular Affairs of Thailand. Please click here for service locations.

After the documents are attested by the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, they must also be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia before they can be used in Malaysia. Please click here for details.

 

1.2 Malaysian documents to be used in Thailand

What to bring to the Embassy

1) Original copy of the Malaysian document and its photocopy

2) Thai translation of the Malaysian document certified by the translator

2. Power of attorney and authentication of signature 

The Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur can authenticate only the signatures of Thai nationals. Malaysians and people of other nationals must first have their signatures authenticated by Malaysian competent authorities before visiting the Royal Thai Embassy.

 

What to bring to the Embassy

1) Passport or ID card

2) The document bearing the signature already authenticated by a Malaysian competent authority

The Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur offers documentary services on Monday-Friday (except official holidays) from 09.30 to 12.30 hrs and from 14.30 to 16.30 hrs.

 

Visitors who apply for documentary services can collect their documents back from 14.30 -16.30  hrs. on the next working day.
