On 19 April 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia welcomed a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Anvar Anarbaev, Ambassador of Kyrgyz Republic to Malaysia, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

Ambassador congratulated Kyrgyz Ambassador on his assumption of duty in March 2024, and was pleased to learn of cordial bilateral relations between Thailand the Kyrgyz Republic, especially the launch of the Thai e-Visa system for holders of Kyrgyz passport, which could serve as an important basis for further enhancing people-to-people connectivity, boosting economic cooperations through tourism, as well as strengthening cooperation in other areas. Both sides also exchanged information on bilateral relations between Thailand - Malaysia and Kyrgyz Republic - Malaysia, as well as views on topics of common interests in the international cooperation frameworks.

The meeting was cordial and has helped strengthen good bonds between the two embassies. Both sides are committed to forge closer cooperation with the host country and to work closely together during their tenure in Malaysia.
