On 17 April 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia welcomed H.E. Mr. Irfan Shakir oglu Davudov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Thailand with residence in Kuala Lumpur at the Embassy.

 

Ambassador Lada was pleased to learn of good developments of Thailand - Azerbaijan cooperation. This includes the recent participation in the 14th Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) during 20 - 24 February 2024 in Baku of the Thai parliament delegation, led by H.E. Mr. Wan Muhamad Noor Matha, President of the Parliament and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand. He also had a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mrs. Sabiha Gafarova, Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, further enhancing both sides’ relations.

 

Ambassador Irfan Shakir oglu Davudov likewise was pleased with both sides’ close relations in various areas and emphasized the important role of Azerbaijan in hosting the 2024 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP29) during 11 - 22 November 2024 in Baku.
