เมื่อวันที่ ๑๕ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๕๗ นางสาวเสาวลักษณ์ ชัยชูสอน อัครราชทูต ในฐานะอุปทูตรักษาการ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้เป็นประธานร่วมในพิธีปิดโครงการความร่วมมือระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยนราธิวาสราชนครินทร์และมหาวิทยาลัยอิสลามนานาชาติมาเลเซียเพื่อพัฒนาทักษะด้านภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาไทยสำหรับการเตรียมการเข้าสู่ประชาคมอาเซียน ในโอกาสนี้ อัครราชทูตได้กล่าวแสดงความร่วมมือในครั้งนี้และหวังที่จะเห็นความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันการศึกษาของสองประเทศมากขึ้นในอนาคต พร้อมทั้งร่วมชมการแสดงของนักศึกษาและมอบประกาศนียบัตรแก่ผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการ โดยได้รับการต้อนรับจากคณาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัยอิสลามนานาชาติมาเลเซีย นำโดยศาสตราจารย์อับเดลาซิซ เบร์กูท รองอธิบการบดี

 

On 15 May 2014, Miss Saowalak Chaichuson, Minister and Charge d'Affaires, a.i., of the Royal Thai Embassy, Kuala Lumpur, presided over the closing ceremony of the cooperation project between Princess of Narathiwat University and International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) to enhance English skills for students of the former. On this occasion, Miss Saowalak congratulated the cooperation and expressed the hope that this cooperation could be continued and expanded in the future. She was also joined by Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Berghout, Deputy Rector as well as lecturers and staff of IIUM, in watching the performance by students and presenting the certificates to the project participants.
