Applicants must submit their visa applications and supporting documents in person at the Royal Thai Embassy.
**Please note that Thailand E-visa service is not yet available in Malaysia.**

 

ATTENTION:

  • All visa applicants must reserve an online appointment in advance before visiting the embassy. *Any walk-ins are not acceptable.*

  • Processing time is usually 2 working days from the submission date.
  • For a DTV visa, it will take at least 5 working days to process.
  • Chinese nationals, who are non-residents in Malaysia, apply for Non-immigrant visas will take at least 14 days to process. 
  • Visa collection will be the next working day from 2.30 to 4.30 PM by walk-in. (please note our Official Holidays)

  • Citizens of specific countries who are non-residents in Malaysia need at least 45 days to process a visa.
    **
    Citizens of Afghanistan, Iraq, and North Korea will also need at least 45 days to be processed, even if they reside in Malaysia. **

** The Royal Thai Embassy reserved the right to refuse the visa application with no reason provided and no refund. **

** Please note that most types of Visa have a validity of 90 days, do not apply more than 3 months in advance as your Visa will expire before your travelling date. **

** A visa becomes effective from the date of issuance. If you apply too early the visa may expire before your trip and you will have to re-apply. The fee is nonrefundable. **
