เมื่อวันที่ ๑๓ กันยายน ๒๕๕๗ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ได้จัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมความนิยมของอาหารไทย "Amazing Thai Cuisine: A Night of Discovery" โดยการนำ "มาสเตอร์เชฟเคณฑ์" นายอานนท์ มะซังหลง มาสเตอร์เชฟไทยแลนด์และสมาชิกสโมสรเชฟชั้นนำของโลก Le Club des Chef des Chefs ปรุงอาหารไทยประยุกต์ให้คณะทูต นักธุรกิจชั้นนำ และผู้แทนองค์กรต่าง ๆ ของมาเลเซียกว่า ๑๕๐ คน ร่วมรับประทานในรูปแบบของงานกาล่าดินเนอร์ ที่โรงแรมเดอะเวสตินกัวลาลัมเปอร์ เพื่อทำความรู้จักอาหารไทยสมัยใหม่ที่สามารถประกอบได้โดยใช้วัตถุดิบท้องถิ่นของต่างประเทศและมากกว่าตำรับอาหารที่เป็นที่รู้จักกันทั่วไปในร้านอาหารไทยในต่างประเทศ เป็นการสร้างกระแสความนิยมอาหารไทยให้แก่ภาคส่วนต่าง ๆ ในมาเลเซีย โดยในโอกาสนี้ นอกเหนือจากการการได้รับประทานอาหารไทยระดับเชฟประมุขแล้ว ผู้เข้าร่วมงานยังได้มีโอกาสชมการแสดงทางวัฒนธรรมจากคณะหุ่นละครเล็กโจหลุยส์ และเยี่ยมชมนิทรรศการเกี่ยวกับวัฒนธรรมไทยและอาหารไทยในงานเลี้ยงรับรองอีกด้วย

 

On 13 September 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur organized a Thai food promotional event "Amazing Thai Cuisine: A Night of Discovery," bringing Chef Kent Arnon Masanglong, Master Chef Thailand and member of world's leading gastronomic society "Le Club des Chef des Chefs," to create a series of contemporary Thai dishes for representatives of the Diplomatic Corps, leading businesspersons and leaders of civil societies in an engaging-style gala dinner at the Westin Kuala Lumpur, with a view to introducing new contemporary Thai cuisine that was cooked from local ingredients to the people and stengthening the Thai food popularity trend in Malaysia. Besides the discovery of amazing Thai cuisine by the Master Chef of Thailand, during this event, the over 150 invited guests were also able to enjoy the famous Joe Louis Thai puppet theatre performance and browse through a wide variety of Thai products on show in the exhibition foyer.
