เมื่อวันที่ ๒๔ กันยายน ๒๕๕๗ นายกฤต ไกรจิตติ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำซึ่งจัดขึ้นโดยคณะกรรมการสมาคมสยามกลันตันในกรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์และรัฐสลังงอร์ (เปอสิลา) เพื่ออำลาเอกอัครราชทูตเนื่องในโอกาสเกษียณอายุราชการ โดยในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตได้กล่าวย้ำถึงความสำคัญของกลุ่มคนสยามในฐานะชาวมาเลเซียที่มีความผูกพันกับประเทศไทยทั้งในด้านประวัติศาสตร์ สังคม และวัฒนธรรม และขอบคุณคนสยามในมาเลเซียที่ได้สืบทอดวัฒนธรรมและรักษาความเป็นมิตรกับประเทศไทยมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยรับที่ฝากเอกอัครราชทูตท่านใหม่เพื่อสานสัมพันธ์อันดีกับกลุ่มคนสยามในมาเลเซียต่อไป

 

On 24 September 2014, H.E. Mr. Krit Kraichitti, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, attended a dinner hosted by representatives of the Association of Kelantanese Siamese in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (PESILA) to bid farewell to the Ambassador upon the latter's retirement. On this occasion, H.E. the Ambassador emphasized the importance of the Siamese community in Malaysia as Malaysian nationals who had close ties with Thailand in both the historical and socio-cultural aspects. H.E. the Ambassador also thanked PESILA for having been an important bridge between the two friendly nations, and would ensure that the new Ambassador keep close contacts with all the Siamese community in Malaysia after taking up the position later this year.
