เมื่อวันที่ ๘ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๕๘ นายดำรง ใคร่ครวญ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะตันซรี ราซาลี อิสมาอิล ประธานขบวนการผู้ยึดถือทางสายกลางระดับโลก (Global Movement of Moderates Foundation: GMM) และอดีตประธานสมัชชาสหประชาชาติ เพื่อแนะนำตัวในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ ในโอกาสนี้ ได้หารือกันเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับมาเลเซียและ GMM ในด้านการส่งเสริมแนวคิดสายกลางเพื่อลดการแพร่ขยายของกลุ่มลัทธิสุดโต่งในโลกปัจจุบัน รวมถึงในมาเลเซียและประเทศไทย

 

On 8 May 2015, H.E. Mr. Damrong Kraikruan, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Tan Sri Razali Ismail, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Global Movement of Moderates (GMM) and former President of the United Nations General Assembly, to introduce himself upon taking office in Kuala Lumpur. On this occasion, the two had an opportunity to discuss how Thailand and Malaysia, together with GMM, could work together to promote moderateness amid the growth of extremism in various parts of the world, including in Malaysia and Thailand.
