On 29 April 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, participated in the Ambassadors’ Breakfast with the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur and CEO of InvestKL at the Mayor’s Courtyard, organized by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) under the theme “A Green, Inclusive, and Culturally Vibrant City of the Future.”
 
The event was well attended by ambassadors and representatives from over 20 Embassies. It was graced by the presence of YBhg. Dato’ Seri Tpr (Dr.) Maimunah Binti Mohd Sharif, Mayor of Kuala Lumpur; YBhg. Datuk Muhammad Azmi Zulkifli, Chief Executive Officer of InvestKL; YBhg. Datuk Bahria Mohd Tamil, Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI); and Mr. Siva Sundara Raja, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), who warmly welcomed the participants and engaged in meaningful dialogue.
 
Ambassador Lada expressed her appreciation to DBKL for maintaining and enhancing the surrounding landscape of the Royal Thai Embassy, which has been located on Jalan Ampang for over 67 years. She reaffirmed the Embassy’s continued support for DBKL to promote Kuala Lumpur as a vibrant cultural city and underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation between Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, both of which share a vision of becoming Smart Cities by 2030, including collaboration within the ASEAN framework.
 
The breakfast meeting was held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, providing a great opportunity for the participants to exchange ideas and give valuable suggestions for the future development of Kuala Lumpur.
