On 5 April 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia was invited to the “MADANI Aidilfitri Reception 2025”, hosted by the Government of Malaysia at Melaka International Centre (MITC), Ayer Keroh, Melaka, whereby Heads of Diplomatic Missions and Heads of International Organisations to Malaysia were in attendance. YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf bin Yusoh, Chief Minister of Melaka delivered a welcome speech, followed by a speech by YAB Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia. YB Tan Sri Dato’ Johari bin Abdul, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malaysia, the Cabinet of Malaysia, as well as high level representatives from relevant Malaysian authorities also participated in the reception in a warm atmosphere, to jointly celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2025.

 

The Prime Minister of Malaysia’s speech addressed well wishes to all participants and the people of Malaysia on the occasion of Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2025, while highlighting also Malaysia’s stance and move forward as ASEAN Chairman in light of the reciprocal tariffs recently imposed by the US.
