Ambassador attended MIHAS 2024 Opening Ceremony and presided over Thailand Pavilion

On 17 September 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia attended the Opening Ceremony of MIHAS 2024, officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, whereby YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul bin Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia delivered his welcoming remarks, at MITEC (Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre), Kuala Lumpur.
 
On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador Lada, together with Mrs. Warawan Chitarun, Director General of Office of Industrial Economics as well as Ms. Yuwapha Jaiboon, Vice President, Department of Manufacturing Development, National Food Institute under the Ministry of Industry of Thailand, and Mr. Worawan Wanwil, Minister-Counsellor (Commercial) presided over the opening ceremony of Thailand Pavilion at the MIHAS 2024. This year, the Thailand Pavilion is supported by the Thai Halal Industry Center and National Food Institute under the Ministry of Industry of Thailand, showcasing a range of halal food and beverage products, including herbal drinks, tea, coffee, dried fruits, snacks, Thai food condiments, among others, from 20 Thai brands. It aims to enhance Thailand-Malaysia cooperation as well as trade and investment in the halal industry.
 
The Ambassador also led Foreign Ambassadors in Malaysia to visit Thailand Pavilion and tasted Thai halal products.
 
MIHAS is organised annually by MATRADE (Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation), Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia. The MIHAS 2024 will take place during 17-20 September 2024. You are all invited to visit Thailand Pavilion at Hall 6 (F09) at MITEC.
