On 4 April 2026, Her Excellency Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited to attend the Lao New Year Celebration (Boun Pi Mai Lao) 2026 at the Embassy of the Lao PDR in Kuala Lumpur, and was welcomed by His Excellency Mr. Thepthavone Sengmany, Ambassador of the Lao PDR to Malaysia, along with Madam Moukda Sengmany, Spouse, in a warm and cordial atmosphere, further strengthening the close and longstanding ties between Thailand and the Lao PDR across all dimensions.
