On 13 September 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited to attend the Opening Ceremony of the Malaysia Cultural Festival 2025, organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) of Malaysia, during 12 - 16 September 2025 at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur. The Ceremony was presided over by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia; and featured welcoming remarks by YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, MOTAC Minister. Also in attendance were YB Datuk Seri Dr. Zaliha binti Mustafa, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories); YB Datuk Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, Deputy MOTAC Minister; foreign ambassadors in Malaysia; and over 500 distinguished guests.
 
Prime Minister Anwar emphasised the importance of ethnic and cultural diversity as a strength and identity of Malaysia, while encouraging Malaysians to learn, embrace and respect the cultures of other ethnic groups, which forms a crucial foundation for harmonious and prosperous society.
 
On this occasion, Ambassador Lada led foreign ambassadors and the participants on a visit to Thailand booth, organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, in the ASEAN Corner zone which showcased the arts and cultures of ASEAN Member States, including Timor-Leste. The booth attracted significant interest, with many attendees visiting and taking photos.
The Royal Thai Embassy would like to invite those interested to visit the Thailand booth and participate in cultural activities at the Malaysia Cultural Festival 2025, taking place at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur.
