On 30 June 2023 H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia was invited as guest of honour to the official launch of MYAirline’s inaugural international flight from Kuala Lumpur-Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi International Airport) presided over by YB Tuan Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Minister of Transport of Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 (KLIA2).

          H.E. Ambassador Lada congratulated Mr. Rayner Teo, CEO of MYAirline and the management team on MYAirline’s first international flight by choosing Bangkok as its first international destination, of which Kuala Lumpur-Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi International Airport) and Kuala Lumpur-Bangkok (Don Mueang International Airport) routes started operating on 28 June 2023 and 1 July 2023 respectively. In addition, the Ambassador also welcomed the airline’s launching of the “Students Programme”, offering a 20 percent discount on domestic flight tickets and 15 kgs. baggage allowance for Malaysian and international students (aged 16-26) who are currently enrolled at Malaysian academic institutions.

   
          On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador Lada discussed and was of the same view with YB Tuan Anthony Loke Siew Fook on the close ties between Thais and Malaysians and that MYAirline’s new international routes would further enhance both countries’ connectivity and promote trade and tourism activities as well as exchange of culture and education.
