On 4 February 2026, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, hosted a luncheon for Mr. Azril Abd Aziz, Deputy Director-General (ASEAN Political-Security Community), ASEAN-Malaysia National Secretariat, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia

 

On this occasion, both sides exchanged information on the outcome of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat on 28 – 29 January 2026 in Cebu, the Philippines, developments in ASEAN, and regional developments in a cordial atmosphere. Both sides also expressed their readiness to actively support each other in strengthening ASEAN, the roles of Thailand and Malaysia within ASEAN, as well as the longstanding cordial relations between the Royal Thai Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
