The Ambassador visited skill development activities and participated in a charity event aimed at enhancing the quality of life of female inmates. During the luncheon, the Ambassador exchanged views on the ongoing collaboration between the Royal Thai Embassy and Malaysian prison authorities, including the visit by Thailand’s Department of Corrections to Kajang Prison to learn about prison management practices. The discussion also explored ways to further promote cooperation between Thailand and Malaysia on human rights and inmate rehabilitation. In this regard, the Ambassador kindly requested continued support and good care for Thai nationals incarcerated in Malaysian prisons.

The 3rd ALC Charity Activity marked the final charitable initiative undertaken under the Ambassador Lada’s tenure as President of the ASEAN Ladies’ Circle (ALC) for the 2024 - 2025 term. The event reflected the Ambassador’s strong commitment to strengthening collaboration between the Royal Thai Embassy and relevant Malaysian agencies in supporting the development of skills and rehabilitation of female inmates, with the aim of preparing them for reintegration into society through education and vocational training within the prison system.

Kajang Women’s Prison operates under the supervision of the Prison Department of Malaysia and serves as the country’s principal facility for female inmates. The prison plays a vital role in the custody, rehabilitation, and vocational development of inmates through various training programs and activities aimed at preparing them for reintegration into society with dignity and sustainability.
