On 28 April 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, met with Datuk Prof. Dr. Mohd Faiz Abdullah, Chairman of Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) at ISIS Malaysia.

 

Both sides exchanged views and information regarding developments in the Thailand - Malaysia’s bilateral relations in a friendly and constructive ambiance. Most recently, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and his delegation visited Thailand on 17 - 18 April 2025, for a Working Visit. The two sides also discussed regional issues in the context of Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025, including humanitarian assistance and the situation in Myanmar, the United States’ tariff policies, as well as internal politics in Malaysia, along with plans for cooperation between the Royal Thai Embassy and ISIS.
