On 14 May 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, received a courtesy call by Ms. Phasporn Sangasubana, Executive Director of ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD), along with Dr. Anthony Pramualratana, Deputy Director and Dr. Treesuvit Arriyavat, Senior Project Manager, at the Embassy on the occasion of their visit to Malaysia during 12 - 15 May 2025.

 

Both sides discussed the operations of ACSDSD in promoting the sustainable development and circular economy agenda during Malaysia's ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025, particularly the organizing of the ASEAN Circular Economic Forum (ACEF) 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. This Forum is expected to take place during the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in October 2025, aimed at driving the circular economy and green transition through cooperation between public sector, private sector and communities.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador commended ACSDSD on its role and affirmed the Embassy’s readiness to support operations and promote cooperation on sustainable development between Thailand and Malaysia, both at the bilateral level and within the ASEAN framework.
