On 26 April 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Poomas, Ambassador of Thailand to Kuala Lumpur, was invited to officiate the opening ceremony of the CP Songkran Run 2025, organised by CPF Malaysia under the Charoen Pokphand Group, a Thai business that has been operating in Malaysia for over 50 years, at Gamuda Cove in Selangor. The event attracted over 3,000 energetic participants, whereby members of Team Thailand in Malaysia also participated.

 

In her remarks, the Ambassador expressed support for the CP Songkran Run 2025, which helps further strengthen Thailand - Malaysia good relations and foster bonds between peoples of the two countries. Throughout the years, the CPF Malaysia has consistently organised such creative activities under various themes i.e. CP Charity Run 2015, CP Fun Run 2016, and CP Treasure Run 2017 and 2018. For 2025, the CP Songkran Run themed Songkran in Thailand was organised successfully, promoting greater awareness of Thailand’s tradition while inviting Malaysian friends to join in celebrating the Thai New Year in Malaysia. The Orang Siam from Kedah also performed Nora dance and Klong Yao.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador, together with Mr. Montree Srihamontree, President of Agro Business, CPF Malaysia, officiated the launch of the Company’s new products, including Black Pepper Chicken Steak Burger, Spicy Chicken Burger, and Cheese Chicken Burger, which are now available at leading retail outlets throughout Malaysia.
