On 10 - 11 May 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with the Thai Students Association in Malaysia (TSAM), organised the “Training and Routing for International Career 2025 (TRIC 2025)” at the Embassy and Oakwood Hotel and Residence, Kuala Lumpur. The event was well attended by over 100 Thai students across Malaysia.
 
On 10 May 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, presided over the opening ceremony of the TRIC 2025 at the Embassy’s Rajapruek - Bunga Raya Hall. In her address, the Ambassador emphasised the Embassy’s continued support for those who are about to graduate and enter the workforce, while highlighting the Embassy’s commitment to the TRIC Project, which evolved from its successful 2024 edition focusing on local product and service development, into this year’s edition centering on advancing the students’ digital skills to enhance value and marketability of products and services form local communities, contributing to sustainable economic development of their hometowns.
 
On this occasion, the Ambassador also invited Thai students in Malaysia who are interested in the international relations careers and proficient in Arabic to apply for the 2025 Royal Thai Government Scholarship, allocated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for postgraduate studies in the Middle Eastern countries, as well as to apply as Thailand’s Youth Delegates to the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA, which will provide the students with unique opportunity to engage in dialogue and share perspectives on global issues with their peers from around the world, especially on topics related to international diplomacy and multilateral cooperation.
 
In closing, the Ambassador underlined the significance of the TRIC Project as a form of “national capital” giving to the students to develop themselves to become the nation’s strength, while calling on the students to contribute back by sharing experience and knowledge gained through the Embassy’s activities to families, local communities, and the country.
 
Following the opening ceremony, Thai students were given a site visit to the Embassy’s premise, during which they learned about its history and mission in safeguarding the interest of Thai people, including the welfare of Thai students in Malaysia. The event was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, which has greatly impressed the participants.
