On 24 June 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited to the “Tantalising Fusion Cuisine” event, organised by the EQ Kuala Lumpur during 25 - 29 June 2025. The event was well attended by representatives from several foreign embassies in Kuala Lumpur as well as special guests.
 
Ambassador Lada congratulated Ms. Natsasi Nu-in (Chef Nat), a renowned Thai chef from Lady Butcher in Bangbuathong District, Nonthaburi Province of Thailand, for her outstanding curation of Thai-styled dishes using premium Australian beef, including Miang Nua Bai Cha Plu (beef wrapped in betel leaves), Laab Tod (fried spicy beef ball), Laab Nua (spicy beef salad), Kaeng Om (herbal beef curry), and Tom Saap (spicy beef soup), among others, as part of the endeavour to promote quality and standard of Thai chefs on the global stage. Furthermore, the Ambassador also highlighted the Embassy’s commitment to pursuing Gastrodiplomacy, advancing Thai food industry and Thai chefs on the World’s culinary stage, thereby contributing to the growth of the Thai economy.
