On 14 November 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia welcomed a courtesy call by H.E. Ms. Jodi Robinson, Ambassador of Canada to Malaysia, at the Embassy.

 

The two Ambassadors exchanged information on bilateral relations between Thailand – Canada such as the meeting between two leaders on the sidelines of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summit in Vientiane, LAO PDR, and current political and economic developments. Moreover, both sides exchanged views on Canada – Malaysia and Thailand – Malaysia bilateral relations, as well as ways to enhance cooperation with the host country, particularly in trade and investment, digital economy, clean energy, cyber security, and Canada’s role as ASEAN dialogue partner, during Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025.

 

The meeting was cordial, and helped strengthen good relations between the two Ambassadors and embassies. Both sides are committed to forge closer cooperation with the host country, and be at one’s disposal to share thoughts and experiences, while working closely during their tenure in Malaysia.
