On 2 March 2026, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, welcomed a courtesy call by Colonel Prathai Chongsakul, Deputy Director of the Office of Intelligence, Directorate of Intelligence, and his delegation, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, on the occasion of the delegation’s working visit to Malaysia during 2 - 4 March 2026. Colonel Artit Pikulthong, Defence and Army Attaché; Captain Jirapong Apichatwong, Naval Attaché; Group Captain Sorrayuth Chantaracha, Air Attaché; Police Colonel Techothai Khunnatchien, Minister Counsellor (Police); and Mr. Chatchawan Worrakajohnwirat, Minister Counsellor, were also present.
 
Both sides exchanged information and views on Thailand - Malaysia cooperation in the context of Thailand’s Southern Border Provinces, particularly Malaysia’s perspectives and possible avenues to further enhance bilateral collaboration. Discussions also covered security cooperation and border management between the two countries. The Ambassador reaffirmed the readiness of the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand in Malaysia to support the mission of the Royal Thai Army by actively and continuously coordinating with relevant security agencies of both Thailand and Malaysia, for the mutual benefit of the two countries and their peoples.
