On 17 October 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, welcomed H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and the Thai delegation, on the working visit to Malaysia at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, in his capacity as the ASEAN Chair, to attend the four-party consultations between Malaysia, the United States, Thailand, and Cambodia. On this occasion, the Ambassador joined in supporting the consultations on outstanding issues regarding Thailand - Cambodia situation. The Thai side emphasised the need to achieve progress on issues which have been agreed by the Thai and Cambodian sides, especially the withdrawal of heavy weaponry from border areas, joint demining efforts, combating transnational crime, and cooperation on the management of border areas.
