On 25 April 2022, a delegation from the National Task Force Malaysia (NTF) led by Vice-Admiral Dato’ Aris Adi Tan bin Abdullah, Commander of National Task Force paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Chainarong Keratiyutwong at the Embassy.

On this occasion, Vice-Admiral Dato’ Aris Adi Tan gave an update on the work of the ad hoc National Task Force (NTF) during the past two years since the NTF was established in May 2020 at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.  Both sides also reaffirmed to continue a close cooperation on border control even after the work of the NTF is due to be handed back to Malaysia’s relevant agencies from June 2022 onward.
