Thailand and Malaysia celebrate 67 years of diplomatic ties with Thai Film Festival in Malaysia 2024: Local Talents to Global Contents (#TFF2024)

 

KUALA LUMPUR (14 Aug. 2024 - BERNAMA) — Thailand and Malaysia have enjoyed a multifaceted relationship as their diplomatic ties reach 67 years this Aug. 31, including through the medium of cinema, said Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia Lada Phumas.

 

In celebration of the milestone, the Royal Thai Embassy organised the Thai Film Festival in Malaysia from August 16 to 18 as the festival aimed to celebrate the similarities and unique qualities that bind Thailand and Malaysia together through the universal language of film.

 

“This year, we continue our journey to bring the captivating and vibrant world of Thai cinema even closer to our friends in Malaysia, to further strengthen people-to-people linkages, foster our cultural bond, and deepen our mutual understanding and appreciation,” she said at the launch of the festival here on Tuesday.
