On 25 February 2022, Gp.Capt. Alongkot Tamprasert, Air Attaché, Pol.Col. Somyot Srisorayut, Minister Counsellor (Police Liaison), Mr. Amnat Phalapleewan, Minister Counsellor and staffs of the Embassy attended a Muay Thai competition organized by Kelab Muaythai Kuda Merah Kuala Lumpur and Federal Territory Sports Council at Stadium Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand has been a leading agency to promote and raise visibility of Muay Thai abroad in order to further develop its reputation as a world-class sport.  Furthermore, Thailand is in a process to put Muay Thai into being an official Olympic sport.
