On 27 March 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, in her capacity as President of the ASEAN Ladies’ Circle (ALC) in Kuala Lumpur for the term 2024 - 2025 and Patron of ALC Thailand, presided over the 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of ALC, held at the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. The meeting was attended by approximately 50 participants, comprising Patrons of ALC Indonesia and the Philippines, and ALC Malaysia, led by Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin, Deputy Secretary-General (Management) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia. Also in attendance were Alternate Patrons from ALC Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, and Myanmar, together with Country representatives and members from ALC Lao PDR, Singapore, and Vietnam.
 
The Ambassador officiated the opening of the meeting and expressed her great honour and privilege in serving as the President of the ASEAN Ladies’ Circle (ALC) in Kuala Lumpur. She extended her heartfelt appreciation to all ALC members for their unwavering support and dedication, which have been instrumental in advancing the mission of the ALC towards achieving its objectives. The Ambassador also underscored the importance of continued cooperation among ALC members in strengthening the ALC’s mission for the term 2025 - 2026 through projects and activities to enhance friendship, unity, and cultural exchange. The Ambassador conveyed her sincere gratitude to former ALC Presidents for laying a strong foundation for ALC, and to Datin Paduka for her valuable and warm-hearted guidance. She also thanked the ALC Executive Committee for their trust and confidence in her leadership. The Ambassador reaffirmed Thailand’s continued commitment to ALC and expressed confidence that, under the stewardship of the new Executive Committee, ALC would continue to flourish and further strengthen the bonds of friendship among ASEAN member countries in Kuala Lumpur.
 
On this occasion, the Meeting adopted key reports, including the Minutes of the 42nd Annual General Meeting, the Minutes of the 267th Executive Committee Meeting, as well as the annual reports of the Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, and Auditor for the term 2024 - 2025. The Meeting also officially appointed the new Executive Committee for the term 2025 - 2026, with H.E. Ms. Maria Angela A. Ponce, Ambassador of the Philippines to Malaysia, assuming the presidency of ALC, succeeding Thailand. The Meeting also discussed future undertakings, including upcoming charitable activities and ALC charity programme, as well as the Songkran Festival to be hosted by ALC Thailand in April 2025.
 
The RTE hosted the Closing Ceremony of the Meeting at the Rajaphruek - Bunga Raya Room, whereby a video presentation was shown, highlighting the ALC’s achievements under the leadership of the Ambassador during the term 2024 - 2025. The Ambassador subsequently presented certificates of appreciation to the members of the ALC Executive Committee for the 2024 - 2025 term in recognition of their valuable support towards the successful implementation of ALC’s key initiatives. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of Thai food boxes and beverages for the iftar meal, reflecting Thailand’s warm hospitality to the participants.
