On 15 October 2025 at 10.00 a.m., H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, together with officials and staff members of the Royal Thai Embassy, Team Thailand, and representatives from the Ministry of Education of Malaysia, including Dr. Idris Ismail, Head of Bilateral Sector, International Relations Division, totaling 40 participants, participated in a virtual royal audience with Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, at the Royal Thai Embassy, on the occasion of the 6th Princess Maha Chakri Award.
HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the ceremony and delivered a royal address emphasizing the vital role of teachers in shaping the new generation to be of quality amidst the global’s rapid changes. HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn encouraged teachers to develop teaching methods that relevant to students’ contexts, use AI ethically, and instill cultural values in students. HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn also inspired the award recipients to collaborate with the Princess Maha Chakri Award network to share their knowledge and inspiration with fellow teachers, comparing teachers to “candles” that light up new candles to continue spreading knowledge and inspiration.
The Princess Maha Chakri Award was established to honour “outsatnding teachers who change students' lives,” selected by the Ministries of Education from ASEAN countries, Timor-Leste, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Mongolia, a total of 14 participating countries. This year’s Malaysian recipient, Ts. Mohd Rosnizam bin Mohd Yusoff from Kolej Vokasional (Pertanian) Teluk Intan, Perak, is a professional technologist in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), specializing in agricultural and food technology. He has developed project-based learning models and patented innovations, guiding his students to win over 100 awards. His teaching philosophy, “Think Without the Box,” aims to inspire sustainability and educational excellence.
