On 23 August 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy organised a study visit for Thai youths from Southern Border Provinces and Thai students in Malaysia to the Lotus’s Malaysia, Ampang branch, aiming to provide insight into Thai retail business strategies in Malaysia, product distribution system and logistics networks, as well as market expansion opportunities for Thailand’s local community-based products.
On 23 - 24 August 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy and the Thai Student Association in Malaysia (TSAM) led the participating Thai youths and students to Pahang for responsible leadership development activities. These included a simulated team-building programme; volunteer activities involving painting and tree planting around Al-Falahi Mosque in Lurah Bilut; a simulated workshop whereby participants played their roles as TSAM leaders in the process of planning and presenting projects to support Thai students in Malaysia; and a special lecture on “Leadership in the Modern Era: Emotional Intelligence, Strategic Communication, and Visionary Thinking” by Associate Professor Dr. Chaiwat Meesanthan, Director of the Institute of East Asian Studies, Thammasat University, focusing on emotional management, clear and empathetic communication, strategic vision, and team-building with shared goals.
Following the programme in Pahang, the Thai youths attended an orchestral performance titled “Music Connection”, featuring the Chulalongkorn University String Orchestra (
CU Art Culture) and the Orkestra Kuala Lumpur, at the Auditorium Bandaraya, Kuala Lumpur City Hall. The youths expressed their pride in witnessing the elegance of Thai musical and performing arts, such as Sok Phama, See Nuan, Asawaleela, Laoduangduen, among others, being showcased to the Malaysian public.
The Royal Thai Embassy and TSAM will co-organise the 2/2025 TSAM General Meeting to review the performance of the 13th TSAM Committee (current committee), particularly the outcomes of collaborative projects with the Embassy, as well as to elect the 14th TSAM Committee to jointly implement projects to support Thai students in Malaysia in 2026.
In this regard, the Royal Thai Embassy wishes to extend our appreciation to the 13th TSAM Committee, under the leadership of Mr. Panas Kamcharoen, the 13th President of TSAM, for their dedicated efforts which contributed to the success of the collaborative projects with the Embassy and mutually benefited both the participants and the organisers.
