On the evening of 23 February 2026, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, and foreign ambassadors to Malaysia were invited to the MADANI Iftar (Breaking of Fast) Reception 2026 at Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Hall, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, with kind host of YB Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, the Foreign Minister; and spouse, YM Raja Datin Seri Dato’ Hajah Salbiah binti Tengku Nujumudin; as well as YB Dato Lukanisman bin Awang Sauni, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Honorable Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, and spouse, YABhg. Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah binti Dr. Wan Ismail were their special guests. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Haji Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar, Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia; Secretary General Dato’ Sri Amran Mohamed Zin of Foreign Affairs and spouse, Datin Sri Razana, together with invited guests were also present.

 

On this occasion, Wisma Putra Malaysia also launched the Ministry Foreign Affairs Strategic Plan 2026-2030 to be implemented over the next 5 years. The Plan was anchored in the values of Malaysia MADANI and aligned with the MADANI Economy Framework, the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) and the Public Service Reform Agenda. The Plan will serve as a reference in guiding Malaysia’s foreign affairs and diplomatic strategies in navigating current geopolitical challenges.
