Purpose of Visit:

  • Workcation (Digital nomad/remote worker/foreign talent/freelancer)
  • Thai soft power related activities e.g. Muaythai, Thai culinary training and medical treatment
  • Spouses and children under 20 years old of DTV visa holders

Required Documents for a DTV: Workcation (Digital nomad/remote worker/foreign talent/freelancer)

  1. The original passport (Must be valid within 6 months from the travel date)
  2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months
  3. A completed visa application form (download here)
  4. A copy of the passport biodata page.
  5. Proof of prolonged residence in Thailand for at least 6 months, such as a condominium rental agreement, lease agreement etc.
  6. A copy of the bank statement for the last 3 months with an ending balance of no less than 500,000 THB or (65,000 MYR).
  7. Proof of salary slip/monthly income for the last 6 months.
  8. A foreign employment contract or employment certificate authenticated by the embassy of the country where the company is located.
  9. A copy of the company's registration/business license authenticated by the embassy of the country where the company is located.
  10. A professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status.

Required Documents for a DTV: Thai soft power related activities e.g. Muaythai, Thai culinary training and medical treatment

  1. The original passport (Must be valid within 6 months from the travel date)
  2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months
  3. A completed visa application form (download here)
  4. A copy of the passport biodata page.
  5. Proof of prolonged residence in Thailand for at least 6 months, such as a condominium rental agreement, lease agreement etc.
  6. A copy of the bank statement for the last 3 months with an ending balance of no less than 500,000 THB or (65,000 MYR).
  7. Proof of salary slip/monthly income for the last 6 months.
  8. Letter of acceptance from institute or company organizing activities, letter of appointment from hospital/medical centre.

Required Documents for a DTV: Spouse and children under 20 years old of DTV visa holders

  1. The original passport (Must be valid within 6 months from the travel date)
  2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months
  3. A completed visa application form (download here)
  4. A copy of the passport biodata page.
  5. Proof of prolonged residence in Thailand for at least 6 months, such as a condominium rental agreement, lease agreement etc.
  6. A copy of the bank statement for the last 3 months with an ending balance of no less than 500,000 THB or (65,000 MYR).
  7. A copy of the main DTV's salary slip/monthly income for the past 6 months.
  8. Personal details of a DTV visa holder (i.e. valid government-issued ID card, Passport biodata page and the DTV visa approval of the DTV visa holder)

***Additional Documents***
For citizens of SPECIFIC COUNTRIES who reside in Malaysia
*Please check whether your passport is from one of the specified countries*

Must provide additional documents as follows:

- Three (3) completed visa application forms with (3) photographs (taken within the past 6 months). (mandatory)

– A copy of the permanent resident in Malaysia (PR card) or a copy of a valid Malaysian visa (at least 1 year validity).
For E-Malaysian Pass, a photocopy must be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Wisma Putra) before applying to the embassy. (mandatory)

– A letter of proof of employment confirming the position, work status, and salary hand-signed by the authorized HR Department or Manager. *** Please note that the acceptance or job offer is not sufficient.

For self-employed, business license or business registration indicating the applicant’s name.

**For Nigerian citizens, the original Clearance Certificate issued by Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) or the Letter of Good Conduct issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia must be attached.

For minors under 20 years old, please provide additional documents:

– A Copy of a birth certificate or adoption certificate.

– A copy of the parent's marriage certificate, in case of sole custody,  notarized copy of the court order must be provided.

– A copy of passports or ID of mother and father/ legal guardian.

– Original letter of notarized consent for the minor to travel abroad from mother and father/ legal guardian if the applicant is travelling alone.

*** The Royal Thai Embassy reserves the right to reject any visa application if the reasons given are not fully supported and the visa fee is non-refundable.

*** Additional documents may be required as deemed necessary by the Royal Thai Embassy.

***All supporting materials that are issued outside of Thailand and Malaysia must be accompanied by certified English translations and notarized by an Embassy or Ministry of Foreign Affairs only***
