เมื่อวันที่ ๓๐ เมษายน ๒๕๕๗ นายกฤต ไกรจิตติ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้ให้การต้อนรับคณะผู้แทนจากศูนย์อำนวยการบริหารจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ (ศอ.บต.) นำโดยว่าที่ร้อยตรีเลิศเกียรติ วงศ์โพธิ์พันธ์ รองเลขาธิการ ซึ่งนำคณะแพทย์จากประเทศไทยเดินทางมาสนับสนุนการตรวจสุขภาพให้แก่ผู้เข้าร่วมงานกีฬาสมานฉันท์แรงงานไทย โดยในโอกาสนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้มีโอกาสหารือกันเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านสังคมและวัฒนธรรม รวมถึงความเป็นไปได้ในการขยายบทบาทของ ศอ.บต. ในด้านการสนับสนุนให้เด็กและเยาวชนจากจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ได้มีโอกาสเดินทางมาศึกษาต่อในประเทศมาเลเซีย

 

On 30 April 2014, H.E. Mr. Krit Kraichitti, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, welcomed a delegation from Southern Border Provinces Administration Centre (SBPAC), led by Mr. Lertkiat Wongphopan, Deputy Secretary-General, who accompanied a group of medical practitioners from Thailand to support the Labour Office in providing basic check-up services to participants of Labour Day Event. On this occasion, both sides discussed about ways in which the socio-cultural cooperation between Thailand and Malaysia could be strengthened and the role SBPAC could play in encouraging more Thai students from souther border provinces to come to study in Malaysia.
