เมื่อวันที่ ๓๐ กันยายน ๒๕๕๗ นายกฤต ไกรจิตติ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้พบหารือกับตุนกุ ดาโต๊ะ ดร. ฮัจญา โซเฟียห์ เจวา ผู้ประพันธ์หนังสือพระชีวประวัติสมเด็จพระราชาธิบดีพระองค์ที่ ๑๔ แห่งมาเลเซีย "The Return" ที่ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูต ซึ่งเข้าพบเอกอัครราชทูตเพื่ออำลาในโอกาสครบวาระการดำรงตำแหน่ง ในโอกาสนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือกันเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการใช้ประวัติศาสตร์ความสัมพันธ์อันแน่นแฟ้นระหว่างไทยกับมาเลเซียตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบันเพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือที่ดีในอนาคต 

 

On 30 September 2014, H.E. Mr. Krit Kraichitti, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, received a call from Tunku Dato' Dr. Hjh. Sofiah Jewa, biographer of H.M. Yang di-Pertuan Agong XIV of Malaysia, who visited the His Excellency's residence to bid farewell upon the completion of duty in Kuala Lumpur. On this occasion, both sides discussed means in which one could use the long history of good relations between Thailand and Malaysia to promote cordial partnership in the future.
