เมื่อวันที่ ๑๗ ตุลาคม ๒๕๕๗ นายศรัณย์ เหตานุรักษ์ เลขานุการเอก สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดกิจกรรมสร้างเครือข่ายเยาวชนอาเซียน-รัสเซีย ครั้งที่ ๒ ซึ่งร่วมกันจัดขึ้นโดยสถาบัน MGIMO และมูลนิธิ Global Movement of the Moderates ที่ศูนย์เยาวชนนานาชาติ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ในวันที่ ๑๗-๑๙ ตุลาคม ๒๕๕๗ เพื่อเสริมสร้างโอกาสในการสร้างเครือข่ายระหว่างเยาวชนรัสเซีย มาเลเซีย กับประเทศอาเซียนอื่น ๆ รวมถึงประเทศไทย และเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจของเยาวชนเกี่ยวกับการรวมกลุ่มเป็นประชาคมอาเซียนในปี ๒๕๕๘ โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมรวมประมาณ ๘๐ คน ประมาณกึ่งหนึ่งเป็นเยาวชนรัสเซียและมาเลเซีย โดยในโอกาสนี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตได้คัดเลือกนักศึกษาไทยในมาเลเซียจำนวน ๓ คน เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมดังกล่าวด้วย เพื่อเสริมสร้างศักยภาพของเยาวชนไทยในมิติต่าง ๆ ตามนโยบายการสนับสนุนกิจกรรมนักศึกษาไทยในมาเลเซีย

 

On 17 October 2014, Mr. Sarun Haetanurak, First Secretary of the Royal Thai Embassy, Kuala Lumpur, participated in the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd ASEAN-Russia Youth Summit, a seminar co-organized by MGIMO and Global Movement of the Moderates Foundation, at the International Youth Centre, Kuala Lumpur, on 17-19 October 2014, with a view to building a strong network among the youths of Russia, Malaysia, and other ASEAN countries including Thailand, and enhancing understanding of ASEAN youths about ASEAN Community building process. On this occasion, the Embassy has nominated 3 Thai students in Malaysia to take part in the event participated by over 80 students (the majority from Russia and Malaysia respectively) as part of the implementation of the Embassy's policy in the capacity building of Thai students in Malaysia.
