เมื่อวันที่ ๒๘ กุมภาพันธ์ ๒๕๕๘ นายปิยภักดิ์ ศรีเจริญ อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา ได้เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดหลักสูตรการฝึกอบรมการสอนภาษาไทยสำหรับชาวมาเลเซีย ซึ่งจัดขึ้นโดยได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสมาคมชาวพุทธรัฐสลังงอร์ที่วัดพุทธชยันตี กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ เมื่อช่วงวันที่ ๒๘ กุมภาพันธ์ - ๑ มีนาคม ๒๕๕๘ โดยได้เชิญครูผู้เชี่ยวชาญซึ่งเป็นผู้ร่วมจัดทำหลักสูตรการสอนภาษาไทยให้แก่คนสยามในมาเลเซียมาเป็นวิทยากร และมีผู้เข้าร่วมการฝึกอบรมประมาณ ๓๐ คน

 

On 28 February 2015, Mr. Piyapak Sricharoen, Minister-Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy, presided over the opening ceremony of the intensive Thai language teaching course, organized by the Embassy in colloboration with Selangor Buddhist Association at Buddha Jayanti Temple, Kuala Lumpur, on 28 February - 1 March 2015. During the programme, the Embassy has brought over 2 teachers from Thailand who played a major role in designing the Thai language curriculum that is now being used for teaching Orang Siam in Malaysia, to conduct special training for some 30 Malaysian participants with a view to creating more volunteer Thai language teachers in Malaysia.
