เมื่อวันที่ ๓ เมษายน ๒๕๕๘ นายดำรง ใคร่ครวญ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้พบหารือและให้โอวาทแก่คณะกรรมการชมรมนักศึกษาไทยในมาเลเซีย รุ่นที่ ๔ นำโดยนายอริสมันต์ ศรีท่าด่าน นักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี มหาวิทยาลัยมาลายา ในฐานะนายกสมาคมฯ โดยในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้เล่าถึงประสบการณ์การทำงาน ความคาดหวังต่อนักศึกษาไทยในฐานะเอกอัครราชทูตฯ และให้ข้อเสนอแนะเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการดำเนินงานของสมาคมฯ รวมถึงยังได้รับฟังข้อคิดเห็นของผู้แทนนักศึกษาไทยเกี่ยวกับบทบาทของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตและสถานกงสุลใหญ่ไทยในมาเลเซียในด้านการสนับสนุนกิจกรรมของนักศึกษาและการเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งของเครือข่ายนักศึกษาไทยในมาเลเซีย ซึ่งเป็นประเทศที่มีนักศึกษาไทยเดินทางมาศึกษาต่อในระดับอุดมศึกษามากถึงประมาณ ๑,๘๐๐ คน

 

On 2 April 2015, H.E. Mr. Damrong Kraikruan, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, welcomed the Committee of the Thai Students Association in Malaysia (TSAM), led by Mr. Arisman Srithadan, its President, who paid a courtesy call upon the Ambassador at the Embassy. On this occasion, the Ambassador provided his insight and advice about the work of TSAM in promoting unity among Thai students in Malaysia, as well as took note of the suggestions and opinions of the representatives of the Thai students regarding the roles of the Royal Thai Embassy and Consulates-General in looking after the Thai people and strengthening the network of Thai students in Malaysia.
