เมื่อวันที่ ๑๓ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๕๘ นายดำรง ใคร่ครวญ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้พบหารือกับคณะนักวิจัยจากมหาวิทยาลัยปุตรามาเลเซีย นำโดยศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณ ดาโต๊ะ ดร. สุไลมาน บิน โมฮาเมด ยัสซิน หัวหน้าโครงการวิจัยเกี่ยวกับแรงงานข้ามชาติในมาเลเซีย โดยมีนายธนิทธิ์ ลอยพิมาย ที่ปรึกษาฝ่ายแรงงานเข้าร่วมด้วย ในโอกาสนี้ ได้หารือกันเกี่ยวกับระบบการบริหารจัดการแรงงานต่างด้าวในภูมิภาคอาเซียน และสภาพความเป็นอยู่ของแรงงานไทยในมาเลเซีย

 

On 13 May 2015, H.E. Mr. Damrong Kraikruan, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, met with a team of researchers from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) led by Prof. Emeritus Dato' Dr. Sulaiman bin Md Yassin, Project Leader of the research project on the management of foreign workers in Malaysia. Also present was Mr. Tanit Loipimai, Acting Director of the Thai Labour Office. On this occasion, the two sides exchanged views and insights regarding the movement of migrant workers in the region and the condition and wellbeing of Thai workers in Malaysia.
