เมื่อวันที่ 21 มกราคม 2559 นายดำรง ใคร่ครวญ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้จัดการบรรยายสรุปแก่สื่อมวลชนสายเศรษฐกิจของมาเลเซียเกี่ยวกับนิคมอุตสาหกรรมยางพาราที่ ต. ฉลุง อ. หาดใหญ่ จ. สงขลา โดยมีผู้สื่อข่าวจากสำนักข่าวและหนังสือพิมพ์ชั้นนำของมาเลเซีย ได้แก่ เดอะสตาร์ ดิเอดจ์ เบอร์นามา ชินจิวเดลี และเบอริตาฮาเรียน เข้าร่วมรับฟัง ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้อธิบายถึงข้อมูล จุดเด่น สิทธิพิเศษ และแรงจูงใจสำหรับนักลงทุน โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเชิญชวนให้ภาคเอกชนมาเลเซียเข้าไปลงทุนในอุตสาหกรรมการแปรรูปยางพารา เพื่อเพิ่มมูลค่าให้แก่ยางพาราไทยต่อไป

 

On 21 Januray 2016, HE Mr Damrong Kraikruan, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, gave a media briefing on the topic of Rubber City Songkhla. The briefing, which was attended by representatives from BERNAMA, the Star, Sin Chew Daily, the Edge and Berita Harian, focused on the details about and the incentives accorded to potential Malaysian investors who are exploring opportunities in investing on mid- or downstream rubber industries in Thailand.
