เมื่อวันที่ 27 มกราคม 2559 นายดำรง ใคร่ครวญ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้พบหารือกับผู้แทนสื่อมวลชนรัฐปะลิส ได้แก่ผู้แทนจากสำนักข่าวแห่งชาติ (เบอร์นามา) ผู้แทนสโมสรสื่อรัฐปะลิส และผู้แทนหนังสือพิมพ์นันยางเสียงเป่า โดยเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กล่าวถึงภารกิจในด้านการเสริมสร้างความใกล้ชิดระหว่างไทยกับมาเลเซีย โดยเฉพาะในด้านเศรษฐกิจและการเดินทางไปมาหาสู่กัน และได้ตอบข้อซักถามของฝ่ายสื่อมวลชนเกี่ยวกับอุปสรรคในการข้ามแดนของชาวไทยและมาเลเซีย ประเด็นการใช้ใบอนุญาตขับรถยนต์ของมาเลเซียในประเทศไทย และการเชื่อมโยงของเครือข่ายการคมนาคมและโลจิสติกส์

 

On 27 January 2016, HE Mr Damrong Kraikruan, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, had a meeting with media representatives in Perlis, consisting of representatives from BERNAMA, Perlis Media Club, and Nanyang Xiong Pao. HE the Ambassador gave a short briefing to the media regarding his duty in promoting closer relations between Thais and Malaysians, especially in the economic and social aspects. HE the Ambassador also answered questions from the media representatives, including one regarding the validity of the Malaysian driving licence in Thailand, where it was stressed that valid JPJ licences, providing all the information were in English, would be recognized by the Department of Land Transport of Thailand.
