On 28 January 2026, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, hosted a luncheon for Ambassador John K. Samuel, Undersecretary of CLMV and Oceania Department, and Ambassador Suzilah Mohd Sidek, Undersecretary of Southeast Asia Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, at Malai Thai Cuisine, Kuala Lumpur.

 

On this occasion, both sides exchanged information on the development of Thailand–Malaysia bilateral relations and regional developments in a cordial atmosphere. Both sides also expressed their readiness to actively support each other in strengthening Thailand - Malaysia cooperation, the roles of Thailand and Malaysia within ASEAN, as well as the longstanding cordial relations between the Royal Thai Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
