On 23 May 2019, Ambassador Narong Sasitorn paid a courtesy call on Attorney General Tommy Thomas at the Attorney General's Chambers.

They discussed the issue of Thai people on temporary detention as witnesses in criminal trials in Malaysia. The Attorney General assured that the Malaysian government's practice is to take testimony of foreign witnesses within 3 months to allow them to return home in a timely manner.

As the Attorney General is a member of the state pardon boards, the Ambassador also seeked the Attorney General's kind consideration on the petitions of Thai people on death row in Malaysia.
