On 15 October 2019, H.E. Narong Sasitorn paid a courtesy call on H.E. Baru Bian, Minister of Works, to discuss the issue of Malaysia - Thailand connectivity especially the new road alignment between Bukit Kayu Hitam ICQS and Thailand's new Sadao CIQ and the construction of a bridge over Golok River at Pengkalan Kubor -Tak Bai. Both sides agreed on the mutual benefits of the projects and to put effort to expedite them to facilitate movement of goods as well as people-to-people exchange between the two countries.
