On 11 April 2023, Miss Lada Phumas, Ambassador, called on H.E. Mr. Roseli bin Abdul, Undersecretary, Southeast Asia Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia to officially inform of her assumption of duty as the Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia. Both sides exchanged information and views on strengthening of Thailand-Malaysia cooperation, including multi-level exchange of visits and issues of mutual interest at the regional level, especially in the context of the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia.

Undersecretary Roseli congratulated H.E. Lada on her new appointment. H.E. Lada expressed her readiness and determination to strengthen Thai-Malaysian relations, following up on the progress in connectivity projects, promoting people-to-people linkages, as well as exploring potential areas for further cooperation.

The meeting was in cordial and constructive ambiance, bringing about new energy to advance Thailand - Malaysia cooperation.
