On 19 March 2026, Her Excellency Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, visited the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Kuala Lumpur Office, and was warmly welcomed by Mr. Mongkol Wattaro, Director of TAT Kuala Lumpur Office; Ms. Lalitsuda Sripoonpuck, Deputy Director; and TAT officials.
 
On this occasion, the Ambassador held discussions with the Director to strengthen collaboration in promoting Thailand’s tourism and enhancing awareness of the Thainess in Malaysia, particularly with the government and private sectors, diplomatic corps, and the expatriate community in Malaysia, as well as supporting missions of the Royal Thai Embassy and the Team Thailand in Malaysia in reinforcing bilateral relations and cooperation between Thailand and Malaysia.
 
TAT Kuala Lumpur Office was established in 1982 and is responsible for promoting Thailand’s tourism in Malaysia and Brunei, while serving as part of the Team Thailand in Malaysia under the “One Roof Policy”. Recently, TAT Kuala Lumpur Office collaborated with the KTM Berhad to launch the special “MySawasdee” train service operating on the Kuala Lumpur - Hat Yai Junction, Songkhla - Kuala Lumpur route from March to May 2026, aiming to facilitate travel and expand the base of Malaysian tourists visiting Thailand.
