On 13 September 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited to the closing ceremony of Thai Government Officials' Capacity Building Activity on Ethics and Transparency, organized by Malaysia Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA), during on 8 -13 September 2024, at Dorsett Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The event was part of the training program to confer awards and incentives for the participation in the evaluation process on ethics and transparency of the Thai Government agencies, led by Mr. Thaweechat Nilkarn, Vice Commissioner of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) of Thailand.
 
The Ambassador commended the cooperation between NACC and MACA, led by Datuk Saiful Ezral bin Arifin, Director of MACA, on its first capacity building activity to strengthen cooperation between the two organizations, particularly in exchanging of knowledge, experience and best practices, as well as strengthening the potential and professionalism of government officials on ethics and transparency. On this occasion, the Ambassador shared information on the role and important operations of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and MACA Malaysia, and congratulated 35 central and provincial Thai government officials who have been awarded the certificates for participating in the “Capacity Building Activity in Combating Corruption: Integrity, Community Education and Governance”.
 
The participants actively engaged in exchanging knowledge and constructive opinions to enhance awareness on ethics and transparency, as well as important developments on corruption prevention that are beneficial to the country and the people. They also expressed appreciation towards the Royal Thai Embassy for the warm welcome during their visit to Malaysia.
