On 25 June 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, paid a courtesy call on Gen. Tan Sri Haji Mohd Nizam bin Haji Jaffar, Chief of Defence Force of Malaysia. Also present were Col. Artit Pikulthong, Defence and Army Attaché, Gp. Capt. Warawoot Krasaetanont, Air Attaché, Pol. Col. Apichai Warunee, Minister Counsellor (Police), and Mr. Warut Plianphanich, Second Secretary, at the Ministry of Defence of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.

 

The Ambassador congratulated the Malaysian Chief of Defence Force on his new appointment. Both sides exchanged information and views on Thailand-Malaysia bilateral relations, security and border cooperation, the situation in the southern border provinces, as well as exchanges of visits at various levels. The Ambassador affirmed the Embassy’s readiness to work closely with Malaysia’s military and security agencies, supporting exchanges of visits at all levels to strengthen relations and enhance security cooperation for the mutual benefit of the people of both countries.

 

The discussion was conducted in a cordial atmosphere, with both sides ready to support mutual cooperation to continuously strengthen Thailand - Malaysia collaboration.
