On 17 August 2023 Her Excellency Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador has presented her Letter of Credence to His Majesty The Yang di-Pertuan Agong XVI Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah, accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom Thailand to Malaysia, at Istana Negara, Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian dignitaries, who were present to witness the Ceremony included Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief of Defence Forces, the Grand Chamberlain, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Chief of Protocol.

                  The Ceremony was held in full honour by the Istana Negara as Her Excellency was transported in an official motorcade from the Ambassador Residence to Istana Negara, whereby the Prestige Guards performed a General Salute at the Entrance of the Palace upon her arrival.  Her Excellency was the 3rd (among 18 foreign ambassadors, namely Chile, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Algeria, Zambia, Kyrgyzstan, United Kingdom, Poland, Ireland, Pakistan, Armenia, Greece, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Suriname, Slovenia. and the Comoros) to present her Credentials Letter to His Majesty. On this occasion, His Majesty had graciously consented to a Joint Audience with all the 18 foreign ambassadors to Malaysia, as well as hosted a luncheon banquet to officially congratulate the newly accredited Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Malaysia.

                  His Majesty The Yang di-Pertuan Agong extended his best wishes for His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua continued good health and well-being. His Majesty congratulated her Excellency Lada and wished every success in the discharge of her duty in Malaysia, while believing that Her Excellency will be able to contribute immensely towards the further enhancement of bilateral relations between Thailand and Malaysia.
