On 29 November 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, welcomed the delegation from the World Sport Stacking and Recreation Association of Thailand, led by Mr. Choosakul Radchapattayakom, the Association’s President, and Mr. Harich Ruangharich, the Association’s Senior Advisor, along with 13 sport stacking athletes from 8 schools in Thailand, accompanied by their coach, and parents at the Meeting Room of the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. The delegation paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador before participating in the World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA) 2024 Asian Open Sport Stacking Championships hosted by WSSA and WSSA Malaysia during 29 November - 1 December 2024 in Kuala Lumpur.
The Ambassador offered words of support and encouragement to a new generation of young athletes and coach, while expressing confidence in the athlete for their athletic potentials which have been culminated through training of various skills, including mindset, aptitude, concentration, and physical ability, all of which have earned them international recognition. The Ambassador also highlighted the importance of sportsmanship and goodwill towards athletes from other countries, while sharing insights on Thailand - Malaysia relations, the history and role of the Embassy in strengthening bilateral ties, as well as its support for the athletes as representatives of Thailand in international arena.
Following the courtesy call, the delegation was led around the Embassy whereby the Ambassador warmly interacted with the athletes and presented souvenirs as tokens to encourage the youths to continue bringing honour and pride to Thailand and Thai people.
